about the artist

Gary Fenske is internationally recognized as the pioneer of luminous fine art. His lifes journey is expessed through his art. Raised on a small farm, he became at home with nature. Visiting the Hayden planetarium in 1958 stimulated his quest for painting with light. His years near the coast, and visits to Hawaii inspired enchanting seascapes. His life was rich, his art is diverse. His love is life.

luminous "Night Vision's"®

It is new. It is exciting. It took years of research. Fenske's invisible paintings transition into different scenes before one's very eyes. When executed with his artistic excellence, they endow a sense of realism and wonder. Night Vision's captures two paintings on one canvas.

Luminous paintings actually give off their own light. When the room is darkened, a city scene changes into a collage of bright neon signs and city lights. Candles glow on the tables. Fires come alive on the beach. A snowy winter's day clears to illuminate the ground with glowing moon light. Twinkling stars overlook the warmth of snow covered cabin and brings about an eerie glow of realism.

Developing his own luminous pigments and formulating his own light-fast printing inks along with creation of a complex printing process for luminous art made "Night Vision's"® a historical milestone.
